Great price ($34.99) for a Basic Reader that works very well. I had no problem with the provided CD.

Hi
I saw this a few weeks ago for 29.95$ so i couldn't pass this up for that price,so i bought one and what a great investment that was.I just tried it out on my Kia Rio 2006 and it works great it does what it says.
I am from Canada and this is very useful here because to bring it in to a garage here to check the codes they will charge you between 50-100$.Those in the U.S like my brother are lucky u just bring it to any AutoZone and they will check it for free!I probably wouldn't have payed 100$+ for a scanner but for a mere 30$ everybody should get one of these.

Before I ordered this JEM I thought this was just an item so inexpensive,If it dont work you toss it in the garbage? This Jem does what it was ment to do.Every motorist should have one.Take your car to a dealer for test and you pay [...] dollars plus. I am very pleased with this purchase. All motorist DONT WAIT BUY ONE NOW.

I had recently gotten another scanner on Amazon for about $29 that was non CAN and that did the job very effectively, but when this particular scanner went on sale for about $23 I jumped on it, because I would like to be able to scan friends' newer vehicles as needed. In addition to scanning codes, it also checks the readiness monitors of things such as the catalytic converter and a/f sensors, something you would normally get on a much more expensive Actron pocketscan. By far, the best value at the price for a simple OBD2 reader.

I was impressed with this compact unit that is very powerful. Does just what I need, troubleshoots codes, allows for reset and testing of system. You cannot beat the price of this unit! I bought it for a Gen 3 4Runner and am very happy with the purchase. The instructions were easy to follow. Based upon older reviews that said the directions suck, they must have rewritten or revised, because it was easy to understand step by step! Highly recommend this product for the basic need of resetting codes and getting the trouble codes, and basic test of system.
