3 out of 5 stars Garmin nui 765T Review   August 13, 2009

The unit is fairly decent. However, it's not without its problems. After downloading the latest maps, on a recent trip to Philadelphia, "Evelyn" (our name for the GPS) had a complete meltdown, telling us to turn right and left at the same intersection. We were sent in increasingly larger circles and getting to where we wanted to go took a half hour instead of the 7 or 8 minutes it should have taken. The Bluetooth is barely acceptable and the FM traffic receiver hasn't worked yet. After a call to Garmin, we were told we weren't close enough to the city. Since that time, we've been within three miles of the city and it still isn't working.

The one really nice feature is the Lane Guidance which shows you exactly what the exit looks like.

My Garmin 330 which is at least five years old and doesn't have all the fancy bells and whistles, and is about five times more bulky, is spot on accurate about 98% of the time. This Garmin 765T can do everything, except, get me from point A to point B without running me around in circles. It won't allow me to download updated maps!

AND, Its only a month old, I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DOWNLOAD UPDATED MAPS!

3 out of 5 stars Problem with iPhone 3G and Nuvi 765T bluetooth   June 5, 2009

I am having the same problem as IntoTheLens "Mike". I can pair my iPhone 3G with the Nuvi, but after I power down the Nuvi, the next powerup does not connect. If I try to reconnect with the bluetooth tools on the Nuvi, the device goes into an unending "Attempting to connect to Bluetooth device", which can only be ended by powering off.

I just got off of Garmin tech support, and was told that either Apple or AT&T has a fix in the works, but no info on when it would be available.

very good product, but it needs more work for the middle east maps.Arabic voice is very bad, sometimes the FM transmiter stops by itself??!! but as overall evaluation it is a very good product.

3 out of 5 stars Not as good as I thought   October 11, 2009

Not as good as I thought, and react too slow, it's way too late to tell you when to exit when driving on a freeway
