Fast & easy tire repair every time August 19, 2007 Triumph Sprint Rider (Manheim, PA) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I've used the Dynaplug for many years now, repairing at least a dozen flats and it has worked perfectly every time! I once removed an object that was about 3/16 of an inch in diameter and used five Dynaplugs to fill the hole. It was for a co-worker and I told him to have the tire replaced right away. Of course he ignored me and drove it for weeks before replacing it. The tire never lost air and got him back and forth to work every day until he woke up and replaced it. I have five vehicles and would not be without one.
BEST TIRE REPAIR TOOL AROUND!!!!!! October 7, 2009 Kelley Smith (California) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I flew out of San Francisco Airport and returned to my `08 Honda Odyssey. The right rear run flat tire was totally flat down to the PAX core. Fortunately, I had my Dynaplug in the car. I used a small compressor to overinflate the tire to 38 pounds of pressure to make the tire easier to repair. I bought the small compressor on the Dynaplug website; and it's a good thing that I had it in addition to the Dynaplug.
I found the source of the flat and moved the car slightly so it would be easier to repair. I am right handed, so I positioned the 4-penny finish nail in the tread to below the front of the wheel well toward the front of the car. With a small pair of needle nose pliers, I removed the 1 ΒΌ" long nail and the air started to hiss out the puncture.
I loaded the Dynaplug tool with the plug, and with a firm steady pressure, I aligned it with the hole and pushed the shaft into the tire until it bottomed out on the tread. I smoothly withdrew the tool and the tire was repaired. I used a sharp box cutter and trimmed the tail of plug flush with the tread.
I was able to drive 190 miles home with two passengers and 400 pounds of luggage and didn't loose a pound of air. It's a week later and the tire is still holding its air 100%. Out of interest, I called a San Francisco Honda service center to get the cost to repair a PAX run flat tire with a small nail puncture in the tread. The answer was "$140!" The Dynaplug and compressor more than paid for themselves, plus the dealer said he would need the car for at least 2 hours! After inflating my tire, the repair took just a few minutes. I would recommend this tool to anyone. I will always have a Dynaplug tool with me in my car.
No Hassle Way to Fix a Punctured Tire March 17, 2010 SanJuanFolks (SanJuanCapistrano, CA USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
My wife and I went to the Harbor to walk tonight and on the way home with windows down, we were hearing a "click-click" tapping the blacktop. We checked when we arrived home and there was a #12 1 inch long sheet metal screw in the rear tire. I got the Dynaplug Dynaplug 1007 Tubeless Tire Repair Kit out and in 10 minutes it was repaired...easy as "taking candy from a kid." I screwed the screw out and pushed the plug in, cut the extra protruding and that was it. Pretty sweet. It works! This is the second Dynaplug kit that I have gotten so I have one for each car and I will probably get some extra plugs Dynaplug 1014 Tire Repair Refill Plug - Pack of 5to have on hand in case someone else needs some help.
Work extremely well on run flat tires!! May 21, 2009 Bobby (Bay Area California) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Used this tool and the plugs on a BMW and a Corvette. Both had $200 and $300 run flat tires. You remove the screw/nail in the tire, load the tool with the plug, insert it into the tire and slowly remove the tool. The plug stays in the tire and stops the air. You may need to use two or three plugs, but eventually when you spray soapy water on the leak there are no more bubbles forming = no more air leak! I've saved $500 with this tool...yes...5 solid stars!!
Best to have on Hand! April 7, 2010 Robert L. Moore Jr. (Thomasville, GA USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My Charger SRT 8 does not have a spare tire and the 'goo' included with the compressor could damage the TPM. This kit has twice saved me from being stranded. Highly recommend to anyone who doesn't want to be left stranded.
